Abstract

An antenna housing for a base station antenna includes a front surface and a rear surface that are opposite and a first side surface and a second side surface that are opposite, which are connected to form an enclosing antenna housing, wherein at least one side surface of the first side surface and the second side surface has at least one side profile feature for reducing wind loads, wherein the side profile feature comprises at least one groove extending in a height direction of the antenna housing, the groove is opened in a width direction of the antenna housing towards an outer side of the at least one side surface, the groove is provided with at least one side recess at its side direction, and the side recess is opened in a thickness direction of the antenna housing towards an interior of the groove. The technical effect is that peak wind loads are reduced, and the omnidirectional wind load distribution on the base station antenna is optimized.
