Abstract
A redox flow battery comprises: a battery cell; a tank with an electrolyte stored therein; a pipe that interconnects the tank and the battery cell; and a pump provided at the pipe, wherein the battery cell and the pump are disposed at a level higher than the tank, the redox flow battery has a supply port for introducing a gas into the pipe, and the pipe is provided such that the electrolyte is held in a suction port of the pump when the pump is stopped.

A redox flow battery comprising:
- a battery cell;
- a tank with an electrolyte stored therein;
- a pipe that interconnects the tank and the battery cell;
- and
- a pump provided at the pipe, wherein
- the battery cell and the pump are disposed at a level higher than the tank,
- the redox flow battery has a supply port for introducing a gas into the pipe, and
- the pipe is provided such that the electrolyte is held in a suction port of the pump when the pump is stopped.
