Abstract

The present invention relates to a field emission device having an automatic current limiter, the field emission device comprising: a silicon substrate; a plurality of probes which are disposed on the silicon substrate; an insulating layer which is disposed between the plurality of probes; a gate electrode which is disposed on the insulating layer and formed to cause the plurality of probes to emit electrons; an anode electrode which is arranged to be spaced apart from the plurality of probes and which the electrons emitted from the plurality of probes reach; and a cathode electrode which is disposed under the silicon substrate, wherein the plurality of probes are formed of a highly resistive layer.
