Abstract
A magnetic bead contains: a first magnetic particle having magnetism; second magnetic particles having magnetism, the second magnetic particles being in contact with the first magnetic particle and having an average particle diameter smaller than an average particle diameter of the first magnetic particle; and a coating layer commonly covering the first magnetic particle and the second magnetic particles, the coating layer having a binding property to a target biological substance.

A magnetic bead comprising:
- a first magnetic particle having magnetism;
- second magnetic particles having magnetism, the second magnetic particles being in contact with the first magnetic particle and having an average particle diameter smaller than an average particle diameter of the first magnetic particle;
- and
- a coating layer commonly covering the first magnetic particle and the second magnetic particles, the coating layer having a binding property to a target biological substance.

A method for producing a magnetic bead, comprising:
- a contact step of applying a magnetic field to first magnetic particle having magnetism and second magnetic particles having magnetism and having an average particle diameter smaller than an average particle diameter of the first magnetic particle to bring the first magnetic particle and the second magnetic particles into contact with each other;
- and
- a coating step of forming a coating layer having a binding property to a target biological substance so as to commonly cover the first magnetic particle and the second magnetic particles in contact with each other.
