Seamless and secure cloud to computer pointer relay

A computing device, comprising:

• a central processing unit (CPU) configured to execute an operating system (OS);
• a graphics unit configured to generate a combined image comprising a secure window generated by a secure processor and an unsecure window generated by the CPU;
• a display unit configured to display the combined image;
• an input unit configured to:
• detect, by execution of the OS by the CPU, at least one of a cursor or pointer controlled by a pointing device entering a secure window displayed by the display unit;
• enter a secured mode;
• encrypt, by the secure processor, pointing device information regarding a pointing device operation that occurred in the secure window;
• perform a calculation upon the encrypted pointing device information, by execution of the OS by the CPU and without the OS decrypting the pointing device information, to generate encrypted calculated pointing device information;
• decrypt, by the secure processor, the encrypted calculated pointing device information to determine decrypted calculated pointing device information indicative of the pointing device operation;
• and
• send the decrypted calculated pointing device information to at least enable the pointing device operation to be displayed with regard to the secure window.

A computer-readable storage device having instructions recorded thereon that, when executed by a processor, implements a method comprising:

• detecting, by execution of the OS by the CPU, at least one of a cursor or pointer controlled by a pointing device entering a secure window displayed by the display unit;
• entering a secured mode;
• encrypting, by the secure processor, pointing device information regarding a pointing device operation that occurred in the secure window;
• performing a calculation upon the encrypted pointing device information, by execution of the OS by the CPU and without the OS decrypting the pointing device information, to generate encrypted calculated pointing device information;
• decrypting, by the secure processor, the encrypted calculated pointing device information to determine decrypted calculated pointing device information indicative of the pointing device operation;
• and
• sending the decrypted calculated pointing device information to at least enable the pointing device operation to be displayed with regard to the secure window.
