Graphical user interface system guide module

A method executed by at least one processor for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) for coordinating laboratory operations associated with one or more laboratory instruments or equipment, the method comprising:

• receiving, by the at least one processor and through the GUI, an input for performing an experiment;
• determining, by the at least one processor, a plurality of steps associated with performance of the experiment, the plurality of steps including one or more operations associated with the one or more laboratory instruments or equipment;
• causing, by the at least one processor, the GUI to display:
• a workflow interface identifying at least a subset of the plurality of steps;
• and
• status information associated with execution of the experiment;
• coordinating, by the at least one processor, execution of at least one of the plurality of steps by transmitting one or more instructions associated with operation of the one or more laboratory instruments or equipment;
• receiving, by the at least one processor, information associated with execution of one or more of the plurality of steps;
• and
• updating, by the at least one processor, the GUI based at least in part on the information to reflect execution status of the experiment.
