Electrophotographic image forming apparatus and cartridge

A cartridge comprising:

• a photosensitive drum;
• a charging roller capable of charging the photosensitive drum;
• a first unit including the photosensitive drum;
• a developing roller configured to deposit toner onto the photosensitive drum;
• a second unit including the developing roller, the second unit being movable between a first position and a second position, with the developing roller being positioned closer to the photosensitive drum when the second unit is in the first position than when the second unit is in the second position;
• a first force receiving projection configured to receive a first force from outside of the cartridge for moving the second unit to the first position when the second unit is in the second position;
• and
• a second force receiving projection configured to receive a second force from outside of the cartridge for moving the second unit to the second position when the second unit is in the first position,
• wherein, as viewed in a direction of a rotational axis of the developing roller when the second unit is in the second position, the cartridge is divided into a first section and a second section by a first line that (i) is perpendicular to a second line that extends through a rotational axis of the photosensitive drum and a rotational axis of the charging roller and (ii) is tangential to a surface of the photosensitive drum at a first side of the photosensitive drum that is opposite to a second side of the photosensitive drum that is adjacent to the charging roller, with the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum and the rotational axis of the charging roller being in the first section and the first force receiving projection and the second force receiving projection being in the second section,
• wherein, at least when the second unit is in the second position, the first force receiving projection and the second force receiving projection are spaced apart from each other, and
• wherein, at least when the second unit is in the second position, as viewed in the direction of the rotational axis of the developing roller, the first force receiving projection is disposed closer to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum than the second force receiving projection is to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum.

A cartridge comprising:

• a photosensitive drum;
• a charging roller capable of charging the photosensitive drum;
• a first unit including the photosensitive drum;
• a developing roller configured to deposit toner onto the photosensitive drum;
• a second unit including the developing roller, the second unit being movable between a first position and a second position, with the developing roller being positioned closer to the photosensitive drum when the second unit is in the first position than when the second unit is in the second position;
• a first force receiving projection configured to receive a first force from outside of the cartridge for moving the second unit to the first position when the second unit is in the second position;
• a second force receiving projection configured to receive a second force from outside of the cartridge for moving the second unit to the second position when the second unit is in the first position;
• and
• a spacer movably supported by the first unit or the second unit, the spacer being movable between a first spacer position for holding the second unit in the second position and a second spacer position, with the second unit being movable to the first position when the spacer is in the second spacer position,
• wherein, as viewed in a direction of a rotational axis of the developing roller when the second unit is in the second position, the cartridge is divided into a first section and a second section by a first line that (i) is perpendicular to a second line that extends through a rotational axis of the photosensitive drum and a rotational axis of the charging roller and (ii) is tangential to a surface of the photosensitive drum at a first side of the photosensitive drum that is opposite to a second side of the photosensitive drum that is adjacent to the charging roller, with the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum and the rotational axis of the charging roller being in the first section and the first force receiving projection and the second force receiving projection being in the second section,
• wherein, at least when the second unit is in the second position, the first force receiving projection and the second force receiving projection are spaced apart from each other, and
• wherein, at least when the second unit is in the second position, as viewed in the direction of the rotational axis of the developing roller, the first force receiving projection is disposed closer to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum than the second force receiving projection is to the rotational axis of the photosensitive drum.
