Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• an image bearing member;
• an accommodation portion configured to store a developer;
• an attachment portion configured to allow a replenishment container to be attached and detached, the attachment portion including a replenishment port communicating with the accommodation portion;
• a developer bearing member configured to rotate while bearing the developer in the accommodation portion and develop a developer image by supplying the developer to the image bearing member;
• and
• a controller configured to execute an image forming operation of forming an image on a recording material by using the image bearing member and the developer bearing member, and a predetermined non-image-forming operation of not forming the image on the recording material, the predetermined non-image-forming operation including an operation of rotating the developer bearing member,
• wherein the accommodation portion is configured to be replenished with the developer by a replenishment operation, in which the developer is supplied to the accommodation portion from the replenishment container attached to the attachment portion through the replenishment port and then the replenishment container is detached from the attachment portion, and
• wherein the controller is configured to, in a case where a value related to a cumulative traveling distance of the developer bearing member in the predetermined non-image-forming operation from a time point when the replenishment operation is executed exceeds a predetermined threshold value, shorten a time in which the developer bearing member is rotationally driven in the predetermined non-image-forming operation as compared with before the value related to the cumulative traveling distance exceeds the threshold value.
