Image forming apparatus

An apparatus capable of executing an operation of forming an image on a recording material, the apparatus comprising:

• a photosensitive drum;
• a developing unit that forms a toner image by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image formed on a surface of the photosensitive drum;
• a transfer member to which the toner image is transferred from the photosensitive drum;
• a power supply unit that supplies a current to the transfer member;
• a current detection unit that detects a current value supplied by the power supply unit;
• an information detection unit that acquires information on a moisture amount in an environment in which the apparatus is installed, based on information on temperature and humidity in the environment;
• and
• a control unit;
• wherein
• the information detection unit acquires a first moisture amount at a first timing and acquires a second moisture amount at a second timing,
• the current detection unit detects a first current value at the first timing and detects a second current value at the second timing, and
• the control unit controls a transfer condition in the operation based on the first moisture amount, the second moisture amount, the first current value, and the second current value.
