Abstract
Provided is a method and device for estimating the capacity of a battery mounted on a vehicle. The method of estimating the capacity of a battery mounted on a vehicle includes obtaining data at a plurality of times for a battery pack mounted on a vehicle and supplying power to a motor of the vehicle, and calculating a first estimated residual capacity of the battery pack at a first time point based on the data and a correction weight, wherein the correction weight is set based on state information including a total driving distance of the vehicle.
Claims17
A method of estimating capacity of a battery mounted on a vehicle, the method comprising:
- obtaining data at a plurality of times for a battery pack mounted on a vehicle and supplying power to a motor of the vehicle;
- and
- calculating a first estimated residual capacity of the battery pack at a first time point based on the data and a correction weight,
- wherein the correction weight is set based on state information comprising a total driving distance of the vehicle.
A device for estimating capacity of a battery mounted on a vehicle, the device comprising:
- a communication module;
- memory having at least one program stored therein;
- a processor operating by executing the at least one program,
- wherein the processor is configured to:
- control the communication module to obtain data at a plurality of times for a battery pack mounted on a vehicle and configured to supply power to a motor of the vehicle;
- and
- calculate a first estimated residual capacity of the battery pack at a first time point based on the data and a correction weight,
- wherein the correction weight is set based on state information comprising a total driving distance of the vehicle.
