An apparatus for monitoring the fill level of filled containers, having a transport device which is configured to transport the containers along a predetermined transport path, and having an inspection device configured for inspecting the containers transported by the transport device, wherein the inspection device has a first transmission device which is configured to output a high-frequency transmission signal and a first receiving device which is configured to receive the signal output by the first transmission device or a signal based upon this signal output by the first transmission device, wherein the transport path of the containers runs between the transmission device and the receiving device,
