Abstract
An air conditioner may include: an indoor unit; an outdoor unit connected to the indoor unit through at least one pipe; and at least one processor configured to control at least one of the indoor units and the outdoor unit. The processor, when entering a current limit mode, receives a desired current according to a user input, determines whether to perform cooling driving or heating driving, and can control a driving current by changing a driving frequency of a compressor based on the desired current.

An air conditioner comprising:
- an indoor unit;
- an outdoor unit connected to the indoor unit through at least one pipe;
- and
- at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, individually and/or collectively configured to control at least one of the indoor unit or the outdoor unit, and to cause the air conditioner to:
- receive a desired current according to an input upon entering a current limitation mode;
- determine whether to perform either a cooling operation or a heating operation;
- and
- control a driving current by changing a driving frequency of a compressor based on the desired current.
A method for controlling an air conditioner, the method comprising:
- entering a current limitation mode;
- receiving a desired current according to an input;
- determining whether to perform either a cooling operation or a heating operation;
- and
- controlling a driving current by changing a driving frequency of a compressor based on the desired current.
