Abstract
A shifting apparatus includes a shift panel serving as a shift selection unit and plural LEDs serving as illumination means. The shift panel enables selection of shift positions by contact of a finger of an occupant of a vehicle. Plural selection regions are disposed in an operating region of the shift panel. A shift range of a transmission of the vehicle is changed when the occupant finger makes contact with the operating region and selects one of the shift positions. When the occupant finger makes contact with the operating region, the LEDs illuminate the operating region and clearly show the selection regions.
Claims8
A shifting apparatus, comprising:
- a shift selection unit that enables selection of respective shift positions by contact of an operating part, a plurality of selection regions being disposed in an operating region of the shift selection unit, and a shift range of a transmission of a vehicle being changed when the operating part makes contact with the operating region and selects one of the shift positions;
- and
- an illumination means that, when the operating part makes contact with the operating region, illuminates the operating region and clearly shows the selection regions.
