Abstract
A method is provided for operating a movable barrier operator system in connection with a delivery. The method includes, at the movable barrier operator system, receiving a delivery open command and moving a movable barrier from a closed position to an open position. The method further includes identifying a delivery timer value based at least in part upon the delivery open command, operating a timer using the delivery timer value, and moving the movable barrier from the open position toward the closed position upon expiration of the timer.
Claims20
A server computer for controlling operation of a movable barrier operator system, the server computer comprising:
- communication circuitry to receive a delivery open request for the movable barrier operator system from a partner server computer;
- a memory to store user account information associated with the movable barrier operator system;
- and a processor operatively connected to the memory and the communication circuitry, the processor configured to:
- determine, based at least in part upon the user account information, whether the movable barrier operator system is configured to utilize a delivery timer to close operation;
- and control the communication circuitry to communicate a delivery open command to the movable barrier operator system, the delivery open command configured to cause the movable barrier operator system to open a movable barrier, identify a delivery timer value for a timer of the movable barrier operator system, and effect closure of the movable barrier upon expiration of the timer.
A method for controlling operation of a movable barrier operator system, the method comprising:
- receiving, via communication circuitry of a server computer, a delivery open request for the movable barrier operator system from a partner server computer;
- determining, by a processor of the server computer, the movable barrier operator system is configured to utilize a delivery timer to close operation;
- formulating, by the processor, a delivery open command including a delivery timer value in a payload of the delivery open command;
- and transmitting, via the communication circuitry, the delivery open command to the movable barrier operator system, the delivery open command configured to cause the movable barrier operator system to open a movable barrier, identify the delivery timer value for a timer of the movable barrier operator system, and effect closure of the movable barrier upon expiration of the timer.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor of a server computer, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
- determining, in response to receiving a delivery open request for a movable barrier operator system from a partner server computer, the movable barrier operator system is configured to utilize a delivery timer to close operation;
- formulating a delivery open command including a delivery timer value in a payload of the delivery open command;
- transmitting the delivery open command to the movable barrier operator system, the delivery open command configured to cause the movable barrier operator system to open a movable barrier, identify the delivery timer value for a timer of the movable barrier operator system, and effect closure of the movable barrier upon expiration of the timer;
- and receiving a confirmation from the movable barrier operator system.
