Door latch device

A door latch device comprising:

• a fence block to be attached inside a door;
• a fork that is disposed on a door outer side of the fence block, is pivotable between a holding position where a striker provided on a vehicle body is held and an opening position where the striker is releasable, and maintains the door in a closed state with respect to the vehicle body by holding the striker;
• a claw that is pivotally supported adjacent to the fork on the door outer side of the fence block and is pivotable between a locking position where the fork at the holding position is locked and a locking release position where the locking with the fork is released;
• and
• an outer lever including a first lever pivotally supported by a first pivot shaft on the door inner side of the fence block and a second lever pivotally supported by a second pivot shaft on the door inner side of the fence block, wherein the fence block is provided with a penetration part penetrating from the door inner side to the door outer side at a position corresponding to the first lever,
• the first lever includes a first input part penetrating the penetration part and disposed on the door outer side of the fence block, in which the other end of a cable having one end connected to an outer door handle attached to the door is connected to the first input part, and a first output part disposed on the door inner side of the fence block, the first lever being pivotable in a first direction in conjunction with an operation of the outer door handle, and
• the second lever includes a second input part and a second output part disposed on the door inner side of the fence block, the second lever being configured to receive the pivot of the first lever with the second input part and pivot in a second direction different from the first direction, the second lever being capable of pivoting the claw to the locking release position with the second output part.
