A latch system comprises: a striker including an elongate member; and a latch assembly including a base and a first claw pivotally attached to the base, the first claw including a mouth configured to restrict the elongate member when the striker is in a latched position; wherein one of the elongate member or the mouth includes a protrusion, wherein another one of the elongate member or the mouth includes a recess, and wherein when the striker is in the latched position, the protrusion and the recess engage each other to restrict relative movement between the striker and the latch assembly in a direction along the elongate member.
