Abstract

A faucet control system for controlling fluid volume and temperature in a faucet. The faucet control system can include a frame, a temperature control pulley couplable to a temperature control cable, and a volume control lever couplable to a volume control cable. The volume control lever can be couplable to the frame at a pivot. Rotation of the temperature control pulley can enable or cause movement of the temperature control cable to control a temperature of fluid dispensed from the faucet (by activating or deactivating a temperature control valve or heater positioned outside the faucet). Actuation of the volume control lever can enable or cause movement of the volume control cable to control a volume of fluid dispensed from the faucet (by opening or closing a volume control valve positioned outside the faucet). Fluid volume and temperature can be controlled using a single handle.

Dependent claims

A faucet, comprising:

a body;
an arm coupled to the body, the arm including a handle;
a spout coupled to the body and having an outlet configured to dispense fluid from the faucet;
and
a faucet control system coupled to the handle, the faucet control system including –
a frame positioned within the arm,
a temperature control pulley positioned at least partially within the frame and coupled to a temperature control cable, wherein rotation of the temperature control pulley enables movement of the temperature control cable to control a temperature of fluid dispensed from the faucet;
and
a volume control lever positioned at least partially within the frame and coupled to a volume control cable, wherein the volume control lever is coupled to the frame at a pivot, and wherein actuation of the volume control lever enables movement of the volume control cable to control a volume of fluid dispensed from the faucet,
wherein actuation of the handle enables corresponding actuation of the faucet control system to control a volume and a temperature of fluid dispensed from the faucet.

a first control coupled to a first control cable, wherein rotation of the first control enables movement of the first control cable to control one of a temperature and a volume of fluid dispensed from the faucet;

a second control coupled to a second control cable, wherein the second control is coupled to the frame, and wherein actuation of the second control enables movement of the second control cable to control the other of a temperature and a volume of fluid dispensed from the faucet.
