Abstract
In some implementations, a controller of a machine may obtain terrain information that identifies a plurality of terrain points associated with a site at which the machine operates. The controller may select a set of terrain points of the plurality of terrain points. The controller may generate, based on the set of terrain points, a smooth path profile for the implement. The controller may control the implement based on the smooth path profile.

A machine, comprising:
- an implement;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- obtain terrain information that identifies a plurality of terrain points associated with a site at which the machine operates;
- select a set of terrain points of the plurality of terrain points;
- generate, based on the set of terrain points, a smooth path profile for the implement;
- and
- control the implement based on the smooth path profile.
