Abstract
An inflatable and flexible delineator post. The delineator post may include an elongated body enclosing an interior chamber, a retention cone configured to retain a first portion of the delineator post within a granular medium, one or more valves disposed on the elongated body and in communication with the interior chamber, an edge guard configured to enclose a second portion of the elongated body, a fold mark configured to fold the inflatable and flexible delineator post, and a fastening band configured to retain the folded inflatable and flexible delineator post.
Claims13
An inflatable and flexible delineator post, comprising:
- an elongated body enclosing an interior chamber;
- a retention cone configured to retain a first portion of the delineator post within a granular medium when the delineator post is inflated;
- one or more valves disposed on the elongated body and in communication with the interior chamber;
- an edge guard configured to enclose a second portion of the elongated body;
- at least one fold mark configured to fold the inflatable and flexible delineator post;
- and
- a fastening band configured to retain the folded inflatable and flexible delineator post.
An inflatable and flexible gate comprising:
- a pair of inflatable and flexible delineator posts;
- one or more transverse inflatable beams coupled to each of a pair of the inflatable and flexible delineator posts;
- and
- a marker coupled to the one or more of the transverse inflatable beams.
A method to inserting and retaining an inflatable and flexible delineator post within a granular medium, comprising:
- pre-drilling a hole in the granular medium to a predetermined size and shape;
- inserting the inflatable and flexible delineator post into the granular medium;
- and
- inflating the delineator post to a pre-determined pressure after insertion into the pre-drilled hole,
- wherein once inflated a first portion of the delineator post is fixed within the granular medium.
