Abstract
A sheet manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a sheet from a material containing a fiber includes a web forming unit that forms a web by accumulating the material using airflow; a sheet forming unit that applies pressure to the web to form the sheet; a measuring unit that measures a thickness of the sheet and outputs a measurement result; and a control circuit that controls operation of the web forming unit. The web forming unit includes a web transport belt on which the material is accumulated and a drive unit that drives the web transport belt, and the control circuit controls an operation speed of the drive unit based on the measurement result.

A sheet manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a sheet from a material containing a fiber, the sheet manufacturing apparatus comprising:
- a web forming unit that forms a web by accumulating the material using airflow;
- a sheet forming unit that applies pressure to the web to form the sheet;
- a measuring unit that measures a thickness of the sheet and outputs a measurement result;
- and
- a control circuit that controls operation of the web forming unit, wherein
- the web forming unit includes a web transport belt on which the material is accumulated and a drive unit that drives the web transport belt, and
- the control circuit controls an operation speed of the drive unit based on the measurement result.
