Azeotrope and azeotrope-like compositions of 1,1-difluoropropene (hfo-1252zc) and other compounds, and applications thereof

A heat transfer system comprising a refrigerant loop including a compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator, and a refrigerant circulating within the refrigerant loop, the refrigerant comprising:

• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and difluoromethane (HFC-32);
• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a);
• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 1,1-difluoroethane (HFC-152a);
• or an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf).

A method of operating a heat transfer system comprising a refrigerant loop including a compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator, and a refrigerant circulating within the refrigerant loop, comprising:

• circulating, as a refrigerant in the heat transfer system:
• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and difluoromethane (HFC-32);
• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a);
• an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 1,1-difluoroethane (HFC-152a);
• or an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition consisting essentially of effective amounts of 1,1-difluoropropene (HFO-1252zc) and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf).
