Abstract
A composition comprising rPVB (recycled polyvinyl butyral), hydroxyethyl cellulose and sodium silicate, and formulations comprising the same, is the subject matter of the present disclosure. A multilayer system for sports flooring comprising said formulations is also subject matter of the present disclosure.

A composition comprising, by weight relative to the total composition:
- from 90% to 98% of rPVB (recycled PolyVinyl Butyral)
- from 1.00% to 3.00% Hydroxyethyl cellulose;
- and
- from 1.00% to 5.00% Sodium silicate.

A multi-layer system, comprising:
- a filling base layer comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 30% to 50% sand;
- and from 0.25% to 0.40% of a dispersing additive, wherein said sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.45 mm;
- and
- one or more coloured finishing layers, each comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 32% to 52% sand;
- from 0.20% to 0.32% of a dispersing additive;
- and from 3% to 6% of a dye, wherein the sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.25 mm.

A multilayer system comprising at least 5 layers in order of application:
- i. a filling base layer comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 30% to 50% sand;
- and from 0.25% to 0.40% of a dispersing additive, wherein said sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.45 mm;
- ii. an elastic filling base layer comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 30% to 50% sand;
- from 0.25% to 0.40% of a dispersing additive;
- and from 1% to 3% of a dye;
- wherein the sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.45 mm
- iii. a first coloured finish layer comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 32% to 52% sand;
- from 0.20% to 0.32% of a dispersing additive;
- and from 3% to 6% of a dye, wherein the sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.25 mm
- iv. a second coloured finish layer comprising from 30% to 38% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from 1.00% to 5.00% sodium silicate;
- from 18% to 22% micronized glass;
- from 32% to 52% sand;
- from 0.20% to 0.32% of a dispersing additive;
- and from 3% to 6% of a dye, wherein the sand has a particle size from greater than 0 to 0.25 mm;

- v. a play lines layer comprising from 35% to 55% of a composition including from 90% to 98% of rPVB, from 1.00% to 3.00% hydroxyethyl cellulose, and from
