Abstract
The disclosure relates to quantum dot (QD) conducting, semiconducting, dielectric, magnetic, magnetoelectric, ferroelectric and/or thermoelectric materials in polymers or network solids. Disclosed are methods for producing nanoparticles in situ in a matrix, through simultaneous pyrolysis or photolysis of an organometallic precursor to nanoparticles with a matrix precursor. Multiple precursors may be combined to provide turning of chemical composition and resultant physical properties.
