A high-strength structural grout system for foundations and other uses, includes a castable three-part grout composition comprising: a liquid epoxy resin; a liquid hardener; and, a graded particulate aggregate comprising sand and fine filler, wherein the aggregate particles, when mixed with the epoxy blend and the hardener, comprises at least 70% by volume of the cured composite; and the composite composition is characterized by a compressive strength of at least 19,000 psi in the fully-cured condition; and, a plurality of precast, fully cured shims prepared from the same composition as the castable grout composition. The precast shims may be placed in selected areas for spacing and temporary support during field placement, after which the grout may be cast into place around the shims, completely surrounding the shims and thereby forming a monolithic composite body. Related methods are also disclosed.
