Apparatus and method for manipulating and conveying containers along a transport section

Abstract

A method and apparatus for conveying and manipulating multipacks (4) is disclosed, where multipacks (4) are conveyed along a transport section. A contact bar (8) accompanies a respective multipack (4), in contact therewith on the rear side, as the multipack is being conveyed along the transport section. Flat packaging blanks (5) are temporarily contacted by the contact bars (8) as the blanks are being conveyed along the transport section. The apparatus (1) has contact bars (8) for accompanying the multipacks (4), with contact therewith on the rear side, as they are being conveyed along a portion of the transport section. A movement path of the contact bars (8) is coordinated with the multipacks (4) such that conveying a respective multipack (4) along the transport section outside the certain portion leads to temporary contacting of a respective blank (5) which is designed as part of a respective multipack (4).
