Claims20
A method of controlling access to an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) feature, the method comprising:
- determining a completion status of training associated with the ADAS feature by an operator of a vehicle;
- determining whether initiating of the training content is permissible based on a state of charge (SOC) for the vehicle;
- prohibiting operation of the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is incomplete;
- and
- permitting the operator to access the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is complete.
A system for controlling access to an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) feature, the system comprising:
- a non-transitory computer readable medium configured to store instructions thereon;
- and
- a processor connected to the non-transitory computer readable medium, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions for:
- determining a completion status of training associated with the ADAS feature by an operator of a vehicle;
- determining whether initiating of the training content is permissible based on a state of charge (SOC) for the vehicle;
- prohibiting operation of the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is incomplete;
- and
- permitting the operator to access the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is complete.
A vehicle comprising:
- an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), wherein the ADAS includes an ADAS feature;
- a non-transitory computer readable medium configured to store instructions thereon;
- and
- a processor connected to the non-transitory computer readable medium and the ADAS, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions for:
- determining a completion status of training associated with the ADAS feature by an operator of a vehicle;
- determining whether initiating of the training content is permissible based on a state of charge (SOC) for the vehicle;
- prohibiting operation of the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is incomplete;
- and
- permitting the operator to access the ADAS feature in response to a determination that the training associated with the ADAS feature is complete.
