An improvement is provided for a rolling tarp system that includes a rear sliding frame with a rear curtain closing the access opening of the rear frame. A clamp assembly clamps the sides of the curtain when the curtain is in its closed position. The clamp assembly includes a clamping component with a hinged element that includes seal elements configured to clamp onto the side edge of the curtain when the hinged element is in its closed configuration. The clamp assembly further includes a locking component that locks the clamping component in the closed configuration by way of a spring-biased bolt element engaged within an opening in a hasp plate affixed to the tarp system. The hasp plate includes a contact plate that pushes the bolt element upward as the locking component is moved to the locked position with the clamping component in its closed configuration.
An improvement for a closure of a cover system mounted on a vehicle or trailer, the closure including a cover system frame defining a rectangular access opening for access therethrough to the vehicle or trailer, and a flexible curtain extendable from the top of the frame to the bottom of the frame and having opposite sides sized to cover the access opening when the curtain is extended to the bottom of the frame, the improvement comprising:
