Liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection apparatus comprising:

• a liquid ejection head configured to eject a liquid;
• a supply flow path configured to supply the liquid to the liquid ejection head;
• a filter unit provided in the supply flow path;
• and
• a mounting portion on which the filter unit is detachably mounted, wherein
• the filter unit includes
• a filter configured to collect foreign matter,
• a first introduction portion configured to introduce the liquid into the filter unit, and
• a first lead-out portion configured to lead out the liquid from the filter unit,
• the mounting portion includes
• a second lead-out portion to which the first introduction portion is connected, and
• a second introduction portion to which the first lead-out portion is connected,
• the second introduction portion has a second introduction port,
• the second lead-out portion includes
• a second lead-out port opening in the same direction as the second introduction port, and
• a second lead-out valve configured to open and close the second lead-out port, and
• the second lead-out valve moves to an open position as the filter unit is mounted on the mounting portion, and moves to a closed position as the filter unit is detached from the mounting portion.
