Abstract
A size of an extruder 10 in a conveyance direction is reduced. The extruder 10 includes: an upstream screw 52 located in a cylinder 36 and including a forward feeding flight 54; and a downstream screw 62 located in a cylinder connected to the cylinder 36. When a valley radius of the upstream screw 52 is d1, a ridge radius thereof is D1, a valley radius of the downstream screw 62 is d2, and a ridge radius thereof is D2, a relationship of D1/d1<D2/d2 holds.

An extruder comprising:
- a first cylinder having a supply port to which a resin material is supplied;
- a first screw located in the first cylinder and including a conveying section configured to convey the resin material;
- a second cylinder connected to the first cylinder;
- and
- a second screw located in the second cylinder,
- wherein, when a valley radius of the first screw is d1, a ridge radius thereof is D1, a valley radius of the second screw is d2, and a ridge radius thereof is D2, a following relationship holds:
