Abstract
A trigger sprayer is provided. The trigger sprayer may include a valve body. The valve body may include a piston bore having a generally circular cross-section in an undeformed state. The piston bore may also include a reinforcing wall and a reinforcing rib disposed between the piston bore and the reinforcing wall.
Claims20
A trigger sprayer, comprising:
- a valve body, comprising:
- a piston bore comprising a generally circular cross-section in an undeformed state, the piston bore further comprising a longitudinal axis, an exterior surface, and an opening extending along the longitudinal axis, the piston bore configured to receive a piston within the opening;
- a reinforcing wall extending from the exterior surface of the piston bore;
- and
- a reinforcing rib disposed between the piston bore and the reinforcing wall, the reinforcing rib coupled to the exterior surface of the piston bore and configured to increase resistance of the piston bore to deformation to maintain the generally circular cross-section.
2 more elements
A valve body for a dispensing system, comprising:
- a piston bore comprising a centerline and an exterior surface;
- a first reinforcing rib radially extending from the exterior surface of the piston bore at a first acute angle from a plane containing the centerline in a first direction;
- a second reinforcing rib radially extending from the exterior surface of the piston bore at a second acute angle from a plane containing the centerline in a second direction opposing the first direction;
- a first reinforcing wall extending from the first reinforcing rib;
- and
- a second reinforcing wall extending from the second reinforcing rib.
3 more elements
A valve body for a dispensing system, comprising:
- a piston bore comprising an opening configured to receive a piston;
- a reinforcing rib radially extending from the piston bore;
- and
- a reinforcing wall extending from the reinforcing rib at an obtuse angle relative to the reinforcing rib such that the reinforcing wall is directionally offset from the reinforcing rib.
