Abstract
A drinking container is disclosed incorporating both a hydrogen infusion system and a purification system. The purification system includes ultraviolet or violet-light generators arranged to irradiate the drinking-fluid chamber to purify liquid or clean vessel surfaces. Mixing elements, reflective surfaces, and timed control circuits may be provided to enhance distribution and effectiveness of the radiation. The system thereby enables both hydrogen enrichment of potable liquids and sanitization of the container in a compact form.
Claims15
A drinking container comprising:
- a vessel defining a drinking-fluid chamber;
- a hydrogen infusion system arranged to introduce hydrogen into the drinking-fluid chamber;
- and
- a purification system including an electromagnetic radiation generator selected from the group consisting of a UV generator and a violet-light generator, the generator being arranged to direct radiation into the drinking-fluid chamber.
A method of conditioning water in a drinking container, the method comprising:
- operating a hydrogen infusion system to introduce hydrogen into a drinking-fluid chamber of the container;
- and
- operating an electromagnetic radiation generator selected from the group consisting of a UV generator and a violet-light generator to emit radiation into the drinking-fluid chamber.
