Abstract
A filter for effluent of washing machines includes a helical flow channel. A brush extends along the flow channel and is contained within a filter tube. The brush may be replaced, while the filter tube may be reused with a new brush. The brush and the filter tube capture fibers and particles such as microplasics, when effluent is fed through the flow channel. A support unit may at least partially define a cross section of the flow channel. In an mebodiment the support unit is detachably arranged in a housing of a filter module.
Claims15
A filter assembly, for filtering effluent of a washing machine, the filter assembly comprising:
- a support unit, providing a helical flow channel having a first end and a second end;
- a brush, detachably arranged in the helical flow channel and extending along the flow channel over at least part of a longitudinal extension of the flow channel from the first end towards the second end.
