An intracavitary applicator for radiation oncology can include an applicator body configured to be inserted in a vaginal fornix of an individual. The applicator body can include a longitudinal channel configured to receive a conduit that receives and guides a radiation source, and a lateral channel providing passage from an exterior of the applicator body to the longitudinal channel. A fastener can be movably received in the lateral channel such that the fastener can be selectively manipulated in a first manner to maintain the conduit in association with the applicator body, and in a second manner to permit removal of the conduit. The applicator body can further include one or more additional lateral channels configured to receive and guide a brachytherapy needle through the applicator body. The intracavitary applicator can be utilized in intracavitary applicator assemblies and kits for radiation oncology.
