Abstract
A portable patient care kit is provided. The kit includes a housing with first and second housing components, the second component being movably connected to the first to reconfigure the housing between a closed state and a use state. At least one compartment is located on an interior surface of the first or second housing component and is configured to receive an item selected from a medical device, a medical device accessory, a medicament container, dressing material, a portable electronic device, an illumination device, or an optical device. A holder with a mount is provided to fasten the item or an external item to the holder, the holder being connected or connectable to at least one housing component to protrude from the interior when the housing is in the use state.

A portable patient care kit comprising:
- a housing comprising a first housing component and a second housing component, wherein the second housing component is movably connected to the first housing component and wherein the housing is reconfigurable between a closed configuration and a configuration of use by moving the second housing component relative to the first housing component,
- at least one compartment provided on an inside of one of the first housing component and the second housing component and configured to accommodate an item selected from at least one of a medical device, a medical device accessory, a medicament container, dressing material, a portable electronic device, an illumination device, and an optical device,
- a holder comprising a mount for fastening the item or an external item (8′) to the holder and wherein the holder is connected or is connectable to at least one of the first housing component and the second housing component to protrude from the inside of one of the first housing component and the second housing component when the housing is in the configuration of use.
A method of preparing a medicament and/or of preparing administering a medicament to a patient by using a portable patient care kit according to any one of the preceding claims, the method comprising at least one or several of the following steps:
- transferring the housing of the portable patient care kit from a closed configuration into the configuration of use by moving the first housing component relative to the second housing component,
- transferring or moving of the holder of the portable patient care kit into the protruding or raised configuration,
- removing of the at least one item stored in or provided in the compartment of the portable patient care kit and positioning and/or fixing the item to the mount of the holder,
- preparing a medicament and/or preparing at least one of an injection procedure or infusion procedure with the item positioned in an elevated or raised position relative to at least one of the first housing component and the second housing component.
