A device for blood-gas exchange is provided, as well as a system, kit, and method that utilize the device. The device includes a first tubular body defining at least one lumen extending from a distal end to a proximal end, and one or more hollow fibers extending at least partially between the distal end to the proximal end within the at least one lumen. Blood is configured to flow through the at least one lumen over at least a portion of the plurality of hollow fibers. A central, third tubular body may be provided, such that the hollow fibers are between the third tubular body and the first tubular body. The third tubular body may be configured to expand or contract radially as the pressure in the third tubular body changes. The flow of blood through the first lumen may be altered based on the pressure of the fluid flowing through the third lumen.
