Abstract
The present disclosure provides a novel glitter material having a size suitable for use as a lame agent, the glitter material being free of resin pieces and exhibiting favorable color development. The provided glitter material includes a plurality of flaky pieces having a D50 of 100 μm or more in the particle size distribution, and each flaky piece includes a glass flake and a coating film on the glass flake. With respect to 100 flaky pieces, standard deviations σ of a* and b* in a L*a*b* color system of a transmitted color are both 11 or less, the transmitted color being measured using a halogen lamp as a light source.
Claims15
A glitter material comprising a plurality of flaky pieces having a D50 of 100 μm or more, wherein
- the flaky pieces each comprise a glass flake and a coating film on the glass flake, and
- with respect to 100 flaky pieces, standard deviations σ of a* and b* in a L*a*b* color system of a transmitted color are both 11 or less, the transmitted color being measured using a halogen lamp as a light source,
- where the D50 is defined as a particle diameter at 50% of a cumulative volume from a smaller particle diameter in a particle size distribution measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method.
A glitter material comprising a plurality of flaky pieces having a D50 of 100 μm or more, wherein
- the flaky pieces each comprise a glass flake and a coating film on the glass flake, and
- the glitter material has a D10 of 65 μm or more,
- where the D10 and the D50 are defined as particle diameters at 10% and 50%, respectively, of a cumulative volume from a smaller particle diameter in a particle size distribution measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method.
