Patient Support Apparatus For Removably Securing An Oxygen Bottle

A patient support apparatus for use in removably securing an oxygen bottle, the patient support apparatus comprising:

• a base;
• an intermediate frame supporting a patient support deck;
• a lift mechanism coupled between the intermediate frame and the base to move the intermediate frame relative to the base between a plurality of vertical configurations;
• a bottle holder assembly including:
• a mount operatively attached to the intermediate frame for concurrent movement between the plurality of vertical configurations, the mount defining a mount axis, and
• a carrier subassembly including:
• a carrier supported for pivoting movement about the mount axis;
• a receptacle defining an inlet to receive an end of the oxygen bottle along a receptacle axis;
• and
• a linkage supporting the receptacle for movement relative to the carrier between a stowed position defined with the receptacle axis disposed at a first angle relative to the mount axis, and a use position defined with the receptacle axis disposed at a second angle, smaller than the first angle, relative to the mount axis,
• wherein the carrier subassembly is supported for pivoting movement relative to the mount about the mount axis between a plurality of carrier orientations including a stowed carrier orientation defined with the receptacle arranged adjacent to the intermediate frame and disposed in the stowed position, and one or more deployed carrier orientations defined with the receptacle spaced from the intermediate frame.
