A method for stringing a dental floss device, in particular a dental floss stick of a dental floss device, with dental floss, comprising the steps of:

• providing a dental floss dispenser filled with the dental floss,
• providing the dental floss stick suitable for guiding the dental floss,
• guiding the dental floss from the dental floss dispenseraround the dental floss stick,
• clamping and/or tensioning the dental floss on the dental floss stickand
• severing the dental floss such that the dental floss can be used with the dental floss stick separately from the dental floss dispenser,
• wherein
• the dental floss stick is releasably connected to the dental floss dispenser before the dental floss is guided, in particular releasably connected free of additional securing elements, in particular via a plug-in connection, and for use of the dental floss stick with the clamped dental floss, the dental floss stick is detached from the dental floss dispenser, in particular after clamping, in particular before the severing.
