Abstract
A mop bucket filtering grate device for separating mop fibers from debris within a mop bucket includes a mop bucket having a bottom wall and a peripheral forming an interior space to hold a liquid within the mop bucket. The interior space is flared extending away from the bottom wall. A grate has an exterior perimeter shape which frictionally engages an inner surface of the peripheral wall in an elevated position over the bottom wall. The grate is perforated to allow debris to pass through the grate while inhibiting mop fibers of a mop head from passing through the grate.
Claims15
A mop bucket filter grate device comprising:
- a mop bucket having a bottom wall and a peripheral wall coupled to and extending upwardly from said bottom wall to form an interior space of said mop bucket configured to hold a liquid within said mop bucket, said interior space of said mop bucket being flared extending away from said bottom wall;
- and
- a grate, said grate having an exterior perimeter shape sized relative to an inner surface of said peripheral wall spaced above said bottom wall wherein said grate is frictionally engaged in an elevated position over said bottom wall when said grate is inserted into said mop bucket, said grate being perforated such that said grate is configured to allow debris to pass through said grate while inhibiting mop fibers of a mop head from passing through said grate.
A mop bucket filter grate device comprising:
- a mop bucket having a bottom wall and a peripheral wall coupled to and extending upwardly from said bottom wall to form an interior space of said mop bucket configured to hold a liquid within said mop bucket, said interior space of said mop bucket being flared extending away from said bottom wall, said bottom wall of said mop bucket having a central well section wherein said central well section is configured for collecting the debris within said interior space of said mop bucket, said inner surface of said peripheral wall having a spout channel positioned at a forward end of said mop bucket;
- a plurality of wheels coupled to said mop bucket;
- a handle having a pair of handle ends, each of said handle ends being pivotally coupled to said mop bucket adjacent to an opening into said interior space of said mop bucket;
- an upper lip extending around a distal edge of said peripheral wall relative to said bottom wall;
- a pair of tabs extending inwardly into said interior space from said inner surface of said peripheral wall;
- a rear ledge being formed in said inner surface of said peripheral wall of said mop bucket;
- a grate, said grate having an exterior perimeter shape sized relative to an inner surface of said peripheral wall spaced above said bottom wall wherein said grate is frictionally engaged in an elevated position over said bottom wall when said grate is inserted into said mop bucket, said grate being perforated such that said grate is configured to allow debris to pass through said grate while inhibiting mop fibers of a mop head from passing through said grate, said grate being planar, a length of said grate from a back side of said grate to a front end of said grate being greater than a length of said bottom wall from a rear of said mop bucket to a forward end of said mop bucket, wherein said grate frictionally engages said peripheral wall of said mop bucket at said front end of said grate and said back side of said grate;
- said grate having a pair of lateral slots, each of said tabs being positioned within a respective one of said lateral slots when said grate is fully inserted into said mop bucket;
- and
- a rear cutout extending into a rear edge of said grate, said rear cutout being rectangular shaped, said exterior perimeter shape of said grate having an arcuate section along a front end of said grate, said exterior perimeter shape of said grate having a pair of flared sections flaring outwardly extending away from a rearmost edge of said grate.
