Abstract

A new and improved adjustable bed platform comprises a head/neck deck or panel member, a back deck or panel member, a lumbar deck or panel member, at least one seat deck or panel member, a leg deck or panel member, and a foot deck or panel member, wherein the at least one seat deck or panel member is fixedly secured to an underlying bed frame so as to always be disposed within a horizontal orientation, however, all of the other decks, panels, or members are movably adjustable to predetermined positions, with respect to the at least one seat deck or panel member, including the foot deck or panel member which is adjustable in both positive and negative directions with respect to the leg deck or panel member, and wherein further, the head/neck deck or panel member, as well as the foot deck or panel member, are capable of pivotal movement so as to be disposed within oppositely disposed vertical planes.

Dependent claims

An adjustable bed platform, comprising:

a frame member;
a seat deck panel member fixedly secured to said frame member;
a back deck panel member operatively connected to a first end of said seat deck panel member;
a leg deck panel member pivotally connected to a second end of said seat deck panel member and being disposed within a plane P;
a foot deck panel member pivotally connected to said leg deck panel member;
and
a plurality of linear actuators operatively connected to said back deck panel member, said leg deck panel member, and said foot deck panel member, wherein said foot deck panel member is pivotally movable with respect to said leg deck panel member in both positive and negative modes with respect to said plane P of said leg deck panel member.
