Composite stringer and method for producing same

A method of producing a composite stringer (2) including at least a tape portion (3) and a fastening portion (4), the method including:

• supplying a soft or molten resin (1) onto a circumferential surface of a die wheel (10), the circumferential surface of the die wheel (10) including first and second molding belts (10a, 10b) adjacent in a width direction of the die wheel (10) and extending in a circumferential direction of the die wheel (10), the first molding belt (10a) being adapted to mold a fastening portion (4) including at least plural fastening elements (5), the second molding belt (10b) being adapted to mold or form the tape portion (3);
• and
• feeding at least one sheet member (9) onto the circumferential surface of the die wheel (10) simultaneously as said supplying of the resin (1) onto the circumferential surface of die wheel (10), the sheet member (9) being fed onto the circumferential surface of the die wheel (10) so as to overlap at least partially the respective ones of the first and second molding belts (10a, 10b) and to cross a boundary between the first and second molding belts (10a, 10b) so that the composite stringer (2) has a surface condition or appearance in accordance with the sheet member (9) on both sides of the boundary between the tape portion (3) and the fastening portion (4).
