Abstract
A heatable aerosol-generating article for producing an inhalable aerosol is provided, the heatable aerosol generating article including: an aerosol-generating substrate including an aerosol-generating material including an aerosol former and a barrier coating, the barrier coating including a lipid, the barrier coating being provided as a layer on a surface of the aerosol-generating material, and the barrier coating being an outermost layer on the surface of the aerosol-generating material.

A heatable aerosol-generating article for producing an inhalable aerosol, the heatable aerosol generating article comprising:
- an aerosol-generating substrate comprising an aerosol-generating material comprising an aerosol former and a barrier coating,
- wherein the barrier coating comprises a lipid,
- wherein the barrier coating is provided as a layer on a surface of the aerosol-generating material, and
- wherein the barrier coating is an outermost layer on the surface of the aerosol-generating material.
An aerosol-generating material for an aerosol-forming substrate in a heatable aerosol generating article, the aerosol-generating material comprising:
- an aerosol former and a barrier coating,
- wherein the barrier coating comprises a lipid,
- wherein the barrier coating is provided as a layer on a surface of the aerosol-generating material, and
- wherein the barrier coating is an outermost layer on the surface of the aerosol-generating material.
An aerosol generating system, comprising:
- an aerosol-generating device comprising a heating element;
- and
- an aerosol generating article for the aerosol-generating device, the aerosol-generating article comprising an aerosol-generating substrate,
- wherein the aerosol-generating substrate comprises an aerosol-generating material comprising an aerosol former and a barrier coating,
- wherein the barrier coating comprises a lipid,
- wherein the barrier coating is provided as a layer on a surface of the aerosol-generating material, and
- wherein the barrier coating is an outermost layer on the surface of the aerosol-generating material.
