Pivoting combine header transport trailer

A pivoting combine header transport trailer, comprising:

• a header cart including:
• a frame including a frame front and a frame rear disposed opposite the frame front, and
• a plurality of wheels disposed at the frame rear;
• and
• a header mount pivotally coupled to the frame at a pivot point disposed intermediate the frame front and the plurality of wheels, the header mount configured to pivot in a plane parallel to the header cart between a rear loading position and a side loading position,
• wherein:
• the pivot point includes a pivot body including a pivot body receiver coupled to the frame, and a pivot body shaft coupled to the header mount, the pivot body shaft pivotably disposed in the pivot body receiver,
• the frame includes a plurality of tracks,
• each track of the plurality of tracks is disposed in an inner area of the frame,
• the header mount includes a plurality of caster wheels,
• each caster wheel of the plurality of caster wheels is received by a respective track of the plurality of tracks, each caster wheel of the plurality of caster wheels configured to support the header mount during pivoting between the rear loading position and the side loading position, and
• the header cart includes a coupling assembly disposed at the frame front, the coupling assembly configured to selectively couple the header cart to a towing vehicle.

A method of transporting a combine header, comprising:

• providing a pivoting combine header transport trailer, including:
• a header cart including:
• a frame including a frame front and a frame rear disposed opposite the frame front, and
• a plurality of wheels disposed at the frame rear;
• and
• a header mount pivotally coupled to the frame at a pivot point disposed intermediate the frame front and the plurality of wheels, the header mount configured to pivot in a plane parallel to the header cart between a rear loading position and a side loading position;
• and
• loading the combine header onto the header mount.
