Wireless charging method and electronic device supporting same

A wireless charging method performed by an electronic device, the method comprising:

• connecting to an external electronic device via a first communication based on the first communication circuit configured to support the first communication in a first frequency band;
• transmitting a first signal including a designated identification information to the external electronic device by using the first communication based on the first communication circuit;
• transmitting a second signal by using a second communication based on the second communication circuit configured to support the second communication in a second frequency band that is different from the first frequency band, the second signal broadcasting the designated identification information;
• receiving a third signal, from the external electronic device having detected the second signal, by using the first communication based on the first communication circuit, the third signal requesting connection of the second communication with the electronic device;
• in response to the requesting connection, connecting to the external electronic device via the second communication based on the second communication circuit;
• and
• transmitting or receiving data to or from the external electronic device by using the second communication based on the second communication circuit, the data being used to receive power from the external electronic device based on the power reception coil.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of an electronic device individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• connecting to an external electronic device via a first communication based on the first communication circuit configured to support the first communication in a first frequency band;
• transmitting a first signal including a designated identification information to the external electronic device by using the first communication based on the first communication circuit;
• transmitting a second signal by using a second communication based on the second communication circuit configured to support the second communication in a second frequency band that is different from the first frequency band, the second signal broadcasting the designated identification information;
• receiving a third signal, from the external electronic device having detected the second signal, by using the first communication based on the first communication circuit, the third signal requesting connection of the second communication with the electronic device;
• in response to the requesting connection, connecting to the external electronic device via the second communication based on the second communication circuit;
• and
• transmitting or receiving data to or from the external electronic device by using the second communication based on the second communication circuit, the data being used to receive power from the external electronic device based on the power reception coil.
