Abstract
A power management system and service method according to the present invention makes it possible to distribute the power consumption at a specific time for each of home appliances in a home while sharing power information with the home and a power company. To this end, a service server can be operated by setting an operation priority according to a user's usage pattern or by setting the operation priority according to whether usage is regular or irregular. In addition, the service server can recommend devices that can be alternatively operated to reduce or distribute power consumption.
Claims15
A power management device comprising:
- a service server that receives and stores information about each of home appliances and provides a control signal to each of the home appliances;
- a user application that receives the information about each of the home appliances from the service server and provides information requested or selected by a user to the service server,
- wherein the service server classifies and stores a usage pattern on the basis of the information provided from each of the home appliances,
- identifies one or more home appliances that are operated in a first time period to reduce power consumption in the first time period in which power supply is insufficient or maximum load is predicted, and recommends that at least one home appliance among the identified home appliances or other home appliances be operated differently from the stored usage pattern.
A power management device comprising:
- a service server that receives and stores information about each of the home appliances and provides a control signal to each of the home appliances;
- a user application that receives the information about each of the home appliances from the service server and provides information requested or selected by a user to the service server,
- wherein when an operation of one home appliance is requested, the service server identifies an alternative home appliance with an alternative operation mode that consumes relatively less energy than the home appliance and recommends the alternative home appliance through the user application.
A power management method comprising:
- a first step of acquiring and storing information about two or more home appliances provided in a household;
- a second step of identifying at least one first home appliance that is operated or is predicted to be operated during a first time period in which power supply is insufficient;
- and
- a third step of recommending an operation of the first home appliance identified in the second step or operations of other home appliances to reduce power consumption during the first time period.
