Abstract
An antenna. The antenna is constructed from first, second, third, and fourth radiating structures that are spaced apart by 90 angular degrees around a circumference. A conductive trace serially connects the first, second, third, and fourth radiating structures. A length of the conductive trace between each pair of two successive radiating structures selected to create a 90 degrees phase shift between a signal radiated by a first radiating structure of the pair and a serially consecutive second radiating structure of the pair. The conductive trace comprises an input terminal for receiving a transmit signal for radiating by the antenna and for generating a received signal as received by the antenna.

An antenna comprising:
- first, second, third, and fourth radiating structures spaced apart by 90 angular degrees around a circumference;
- a conductive trace serially connecting the first, second, third, and fourth radiating structures, a length of the conductive trace between each pair of two successive radiating structures selected to create a 90 degrees phase shift between a signal radiated by a first radiating structure of the pair and a serially consecutive second radiating structure of the pair;
- and
- the conductive trace comprising an input terminal for receiving a transmit signal for radiating by the antenna and for generating a received signal as received by the antenna.
