Sound synthesis system using multiple interactive devices

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform the steps of:

• generating, based on an audio synthesis configuration, an arrangement including at least one audio object to synthesize an audio signal;
• retrieving a synthesis characteristic profile acquired from an external device, the synthesis characteristic profile indicating one or more respective characteristic values for one or more synthesis characteristics;
• identifying one or more synthesis parameter settings based on the one or more respective characteristic values;
• modifying the arrangement based on the identified one or more synthesis parameter settings to generate a modified arrangement;
• activating the modified arrangement to generate a synthesized audio signal;
• and
• outputting, using an audio output device, an audio reproduction of the synthesized audio signal.

A system that outputs a synthesized audio signal, the system comprising:

• a sensor device that detects an external device;
• a memory storing instructions;
• and
• one or more processors coupled to the memory configured to execute the instructions to:
• generate, based on an audio synthesis configuration, an arrangement including at least one audio object to synthesize an audio signal;
• retrieve a synthesis characteristic profile acquired from an external device, the synthesis characteristic profile indicating one or more respective characteristic values for one or more synthesis characteristics;
• identify one or more synthesis parameter settings based on the one or more respective characteristic values;
• modify the arrangement based on the identified one or more synthesis parameter settings to generate a modified arrangement;
• activate the modified arrangement to generate a synthesized audio signal;
• and
• output, using an audio output device, an audio reproduction of the synthesized audio signal.
