Abstract
Methods and systems are described herein for applying padding (e.g., a scale factor) to a detected object (e.g., a rotated rectangle or other shape) in an image before rotation correction is applied. By applying the padding prior to the rotation correction, the system is more efficient as rotation correction may be performed simultaneously with other processing tasks such as cropping and downscaling. For example, by applying padding first, the system is able to keep rotation correction, cropping, and/or downscaling as a single step, which is quicker and more efficient.
Claims20
A system for applying scale factors to image objects during a document liveness check, the system comprising:
- one or more processors and one or more non-transitory media comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause operations comprising:
- receiving, from a user, a user communication comprising an image depicting an object within an image portion of the image;
- inputting an input related to the image into one or more models to obtain a scale factor for the object, wherein the scale factor comprises an expansion related to the object while maintaining a first aspect ratio without a bounding box point associated with the object extending beyond an edge of the image portion;
- and
- performing an image processing task with respect the object in accordance with the scale factor to obtain a processed image derived from the image.
A method comprising:
- accessing one or more models related to image data processing;
- receiving, from a user, a user communication comprising an image depicting an object within a portion of the image;
- and
- performing, via the one or more models, an image processing task with respect to the object in accordance with a scale factor to obtain a processed image derived from the image, the scale factor comprising an expansion related to the object while maintaining a first aspect ratio without a bounding point of a boundary associated with the object extending beyond an edge of the portion.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause operations comprising:
- accessing one or more models related to image data processing;
- receiving, from a user, a user communication comprising an image depicting an object within a portion of the image;
- and
- performing, via the one or more models, an image processing task with respect to the object in accordance with a scale factor to obtain a processed image derived from the image, the scale factor comprising an expansion related to the object while maintaining a first aspect ratio without a bounding point of a boundary associated with the object extending beyond an edge of the portion.
