Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive input of multiple reset codes, corresponding to multiple information processing apparatuses, for resetting a previously set password; transmit the input reset codes and the information processing apparatus's own identification information to an external device; if there is a response from the external device indicating permission for password reset, set information entered as a new password; and transmit the input reset codes to other information processing apparatuses that have been pre-registered as belonging to a same group.
Claims9
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- receive input of a plurality of reset codes, corresponding to a plurality of information processing apparatuses, for resetting a previously set password;
- transmit the input reset codes and the information processing apparatus's own identification information to an external device;
- if there is a response from the external device indicating permission for password reset, set information entered as a new password;
- and
- transmit the input reset codes to other information processing apparatuses that have been pre-registered as belonging to a same group.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer of an information processing apparatus to execute a process comprising:
- receiving input of a plurality of reset codes, corresponding to a plurality of information processing apparatuses, for resetting a previously set password;
- transmitting the input reset codes and the information processing apparatus's own identification information to an external device;
- if there is a response from the external device indicating permission for password reset, setting information entered as a new password;
- and
- transmitting the input reset codes to other information processing apparatuses that have been pre-registered as belonging to a same group.
An information processing method performed by an information processing apparatus, the information processing method comprising:
- receiving input of a plurality of reset codes, corresponding to a plurality of information processing apparatuses, for resetting a previously set password;
- transmitting the input reset codes and the information processing apparatus's own identification information to an external device;
- if there is a response from the external device indicating permission for password reset, setting information entered as a new password;
- and
- transmitting the input reset codes to other information processing apparatuses that have been pre-registered as belonging to a same group.
