Abstract
A content editor or a plugin thereto automatically generates authorship tokens that identify content authored by a human author or an artificial author. The authorship tokens are applied to the work while the work is being produced. Thus, subsequent review of the work can identify regions produced by a human author and other regions produced by an artificial intelligence.

A method comprising:
- receiving content for a purpose at a media platform, wherein the content is received through:
- a form field of a website, a form field of an application, or an application programming interface, and wherein the content is text content, image content, video content, audio content, or a combination thereof;
- determining an anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content;
- taking an action with respect to the content for the purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status, wherein the action is selected from the group consisting of:
- determining whether the anthropogenic or technogenic status complies with policies regarding the use of content having that status for the purpose;
- prohibiting the use of the content if the anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content indicates that the content has more than a threshold amount of technogenic content or less than a threshold amount of anthropogenic content;
- and
- prohibiting the use of the content for a first purpose but permitting the use of the content for a second purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status;
- and
- providing, by the media platform, a user interface for the media platform showing the content received for the purpose, wherein the user interface includes one or more content blocks selected from the group consisting of:
- a first content block comprising a first trending topic on the media platform and having a first anthropogenic tag indicating that a certain percentage of posts associated with that trending topic are anthropogenic or technogenic;
- a second content block comprising a second trending topic on the media platform and a second anthropogenic tag indicating that that there are more than a threshold percentage of posts using that tag are technogenic;
- a third content block comprising a third post having third post content and having a third anthropogenic tag based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status of the third post content and indicating that the third post content is verified human content,
- a fourth content block comprising a fourth post having fourth post content and having a fourth anthropogenic tag indicating that the fourth post content is technogenic but is being passed off as anthropogenic;
- a fifth content block comprising a fifth post replying to another post, the fifth post including a technogenic tag indicating that the fifth post is technogenic but approved;
- a sixth content block comprising an ad having a sixth anthropogenic tag;
- a seventh content block comprising media content having a seventh anthropogenic tag indicating that the media content has mixed technogenic and anthropogenic status;
- and
- an eighth content block comprising suppressed technogenic content with an element actuatable to display the suppressed technogenic content.
A system comprising a set of one or more processors, wherein the set is configured to perform a method comprising:
- receiving content for a purpose at a media platform, wherein the content is received through:
- a form field of a website, a form field of an application, or an application programming interface, and wherein the content is text content, image content, video content, audio content, or a combination thereof;
- determining an anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content while or after receiving the content for the purpose;
- taking an action with respect to the content for the purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status, wherein the action is selected from the group consisting of:
- determining whether the anthropogenic or technogenic status complies with policies regarding the use of content having that status for the purpose;
- prohibiting the use of the content if the anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content indicates that the content has more than a threshold amount of technogenic content or less than a threshold amount of anthropogenic content;
- and
- prohibiting the use of the content for a first purpose but permitting the use of the content for a second purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status;
- and
- providing, by the media platform, a user interface for the media platform showing content, wherein the user interface includes one or more content blocks selected from the group consisting of:
- a first content block comprising a first trending topic on the media platform and having a first anthropogenic tag indicating that a certain percentage of posts associated with that trending topic are anthropogenic or technogenic;
- a second content block comprising a second trending topic on the media platform and a second anthropogenic tag indicating that that there are more than a threshold percentage of posts using that tag are technogenic;
- a third content block comprising a third post having third post content and having a third anthropogenic tag based on the anthropogenic status of the third post content and indicating that the third post content is verified human content,
- a fourth content block comprising a fourth post having fourth post content and having a fourth anthropogenic tag indicating that the fourth post content is technogenic but is being passed off as anthropogenic;
- a fifth content block comprising a fifth post replying to another post, the fifth post including a technogenic tag indicating that the fifth post is technogenic but approved;
- a sixth content block comprising an ad having a sixth anthropogenic tag;
- a seventh content block comprising media content having a seventh anthropogenic tag indicating that the media content has mixed technogenic and anthropogenic status;
- and
- an eighth content block comprising suppressed technogenic content with an element actuatable to display the suppressed technogenic content.
A set of one or more non-transitory computer readable media having instructions thereon that, when executed by a set of one or more processors cause the set of one or more processors to perform a method comprising:
- receiving content for a purpose at a media platform, wherein the content is received through:
- a form field of a website, a form field of an application, or an application programming interface, and wherein the content is text content, image content, video content, audio content, or a combination thereof;
- determining an anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content while or after receiving the content for the purpose;
- taking an action with respect to the content for the purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status, wherein the action is selected from the group consisting of:
- determining whether the anthropogenic or technogenic status complies with policies regarding the use of content having that status for the purpose;
- prohibiting the use of the content if the anthropogenic or technogenic status of the content indicates that the content has more than a threshold amount of technogenic content or less than a threshold amount of anthropogenic content;
- and
- prohibiting the use of the content for a first purpose but permitting the use of the content for a second purpose based on the anthropogenic or technogenic status;
- and
- providing, by the media platform, a user interface for the media platform showing content, wherein the user interface includes one or more content blocks selected from the group consisting of:
- a first content block comprising a first trending topic on the media platform and having a first anthropogenic tag indicating that a certain percentage of posts associated with that trending topic are anthropogenic or technogenic;
- a second content block comprising a second trending topic on the media platform and a second anthropogenic tag indicating that that there are more than a threshold percentage of posts using that tag are technogenic;
- a third content block comprising a third post having third post content and having a third anthropogenic tag based on the anthropogenic status of the third post content and indicating that the third post content is verified human content,
- a fourth content block comprising a fourth post having fourth post content and having a fourth anthropogenic tag indicating that the fourth post content is technogenic but is being passed off as anthropogenic;
- a fifth content block comprising a fifth post replying to another post, the fifth post including a technogenic tag indicating that the fifth post is technogenic but approved;
- a sixth content block comprising an ad having a sixth anthropogenic tag;
- a seventh content block comprising media content having a seventh anthropogenic tag indicating that the media content has mixed technogenic and anthropogenic status;
- and
- an eighth content block comprising suppressed technogenic content with an element actuatable to display the suppressed technogenic content.
